Color Display
This is one of my all time favorite tutorials. It showcases many things all at once: lighting, color use, anatomy, motion, and balance. It is very possible I might showcase this little known artist in a monthly spotlight in the near future, so be on the lookout. The artist can be found at deviantart.com under the name liiga. As always, just click the picture to be taken to the full size tutorial version.
Note: The full size version is rather large (1.82 MB). It takes a minute even for my cable connection to load. So if you have dial up you will have to wait quite a while!

Skin Texturing for Photo-Realism
I wanted to post a little tutorial on texturing skin in PhotoShop. I use this technique in my portrait drawing and I love the results. If you'd like more photo-realistic images, then I know it will help you, too. It is completely free. Just click on the pic to see the details, and even save it to your computer if you'd like. Let me know if it works out for you. Enjoy!
